To create is to honor creation: our lives, the world that we live in, as well as the worlds that haven’t been born yet. We take matter into our own hands, and shape our reality. That matters to me. That’s the project we’ve come here to participate in. I am a world building portal, and so are you. I am an artist and an amateur, I love to follow sparks of inspiration to see where they take me. They’ve taken me everywhere, everywhere, all over the color spectrum of experience.

In recent years I’ve been working mostly with digital video and photography. I often use an image as a writing prompt to see what it has to say. Sometimes it even wants to be sung, or asks for a playlist. It’s an intuitive practice that’s become a steady discipline over the years. It helps me to give voice to whatever wants to be heard in and through me.

I generally use organic shapes and textures of flowers and plants that I encounter on walks through nature. I collaborate with these forms to create saturated mystical dreamscapes. When I arrive at the final form of an image, it often feels like a representation of something very pure, deep within me, of this, and, of other worlds.

My work has been featured in LAKSHMI’s theatre tour Droom that ran from September to December 2023 throughout the Netherlands.

We have used my video images at Moonwatch shows over the years. I have also made several visualizers for music videos (like this one for the song Lūmen) and love to work on making album and EP covers.
